Jack Savin-Taylor


Jack spends his weekends exploring the local countryside getting walked by his dog.

History & Experience

Jack helped found DS2 in March 2012 from Drivers Jonas Deloitte, where he worked with other DS2 founding partners Steve Billington and Pascal Levine. He has over 10 years of experience providing strategic affordable housing advice to a range of private and public-sector clients.

Jack has developed particular expertise in the preparation of financial viability appraisals for residential and mixed-use schemes, to identify and negotiate innovative and deliverable affordable housing solutions for clients’ development projects. This includes in-depth experience modelling BTR developments as well as viability review mechanisms.

Jack has helped to expand the team’s transactional business, disposing of developer client’s Section 106 affordable housing obligations, or introducing sites and packages to Registered Providers. Jack is currently instructed on over £100m worth of affordable housing disposals.

Key Projects

1 Triton Square, Camden – British Land

Viability advice in relation to this major office project within the Regent’s Place campus. The proposals also include 23 affordable homes and alongside preparing and agreeing a financial viability assessment, DS2 has provided advice in relation to the disposal of the affordable homes to a Registered Provider.

Nine Elms Park - Royal Mail

Provided viability advice in relation to applications on 4 plots on this Nine Elms masterplan, comprising an office building and c. 750 residential homes.

Car Giant site - Car Giant

Acted as expert witness on behalf of the landowner at the public examination of the Old Oak & Park Royal Development Corporation Local Plan.

Kings Cross - Argent

Acting as agent on the disposal of the affordable homes to a Registered Provider across a number of plots at Kings Cross Central
