As a RICS Registered Valuer, Emma assists with valuation instructions, including for land and affordable housing, in addition to planning viability and disposal work.

Emma is never happier than when exploring ancient ruins abroad, playing netball, or running along Regent’s Canal in the sunshine.

History & Experience

Emma joined DS2 from GL Hearn, where she worked in the Valuation team for 6 months undertaking a range of residential and commercial valuations, predominately for bank lending purposes.

Prior to working in Valuation, Emma worked in the Regeneration Team and rotated into the Compulsory Purchase, Planning and Public Sector Development Consultancy teams as part of her training to become a Surveyor.  From this, Emma gained experience in drafting Price Cost Estimates, planning documents and development appraisals for public sector clients.  Emma also completed her Masters in Real Estate at Reading in order to gain her RICS accreditation.

Key Projects

SFA Partnership Programme, Transport for London

Development consultancy advice to support TfL’s Step-Free Access Partnership Programme. DS2 was instructed to identify sources of funding from development opportunities within the vicinity of the site. Various sites were identified and more detailed planning and development feasibility studies were undertaken on selected opportunities.

Blossom House School (Wimbledon) – London Borough of Merton

Prepared the Updated Viability Assessment for a residential scheme submitted in accordance with the review mechanism within the S106.

Watkin Road (Wembley), Barratt Homes - London Borough of Brent

Proposed a residential led development scheme in the London Borough of Brent. Undertook the financial viability appraisals and analysed residential and commercial comparable evidence.

Glengall Business Centre (Old Kent Road) - London Borough of Southwark

Site with planning consent, subject to the signing of a Section 106 agreement, for a residential led development. DS2 undertook a Red Book valuation.

Queen’s Square Phase 1 (Croydon) – London Borough of Croydon

DS2 are disposing of the affordable units, a mixture of rented and intermediate, in Block B on behalf of the developer.
